ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے انہیں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بیان کردہ احکام زکوٰۃ کے مطابق لکھا کہ زکوٰۃ میں بوڑھے، عیبی اور نر نہ لیے جائیں ‘ البتہ اگر صدقہ وصول کرنے والا مناسب سمجھے تو لے سکتا ہے۔...
Hadith No: 1455
Narrated Anas: Abu Bakr wrote to me what Allah had ordered His Apostle (about Zakat) which goes: Neither an old nor a defected animal, nor a male-goat may be taken as Zakat except if the Zakat collector wishes (to take it).

Narrated Abu Huraira: Abu Bakr said, By Allah! If they (pay me the Zakat and) withhold even a she-kid which they used to pay during the lifetime of Allah's Apostle, I will fight with them for it.
