Hadith in Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : عَمْرٌو حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا دَخَلَ عَلَيّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعِنْدِي جَارِيَتَانِ تُغَنِّيَانِ بِغِنَاءِ بُعَاثَ فَاضْطَجَعَ عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ وَحَوَّلَ وَجْهَهُ فَدَخَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَانْتَهَرَنِي ، وَقَالَ : مِزْمَارَةُ الشَّيْطَانِ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : دَعْهُمَا فَلَمَّا غَفَلَ غَمَزْتُهُمَا فَخَرَجَتَا .

Hadith in Urdu

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میرے یہاں تشریف لائے تو دو لڑکیاں میرے پاس جنگ بعاث کے گیت گا رہی تھیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بستر پر لیٹ گئے اور چہرہ مبارک دوسری طرف کر لیا اس کے بعد ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ آ گئے اور آپ نے مجھے ڈانٹا کہ یہ شیطانی گانا اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی موجودگی میں! لیکن آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور فرمایا کہ انہیں گانے دو، پھر جب ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ دوسری طرف متوجہ ہو گئے تو میں نے ان لڑکیوں کو اشارہ کیا اور وہ چلی گئیں۔

Hadith in English

Narrated `Aisha: Allah's Apostle came to my house while two girls were singing beside me the songs of Bu'ath (a story about the war between the two tribes of the Ansar, i.e. Khazraj and Aus, before Islam.) The Prophet reclined on the bed and turned his face to the other side. Abu Bakr came and scolded me and said protestingly, Instrument of Satan in the presence of Allah's Apostle? Allah's Apostle turned his face towards him and said, Leave them. When Abu Bakr became inattentive, I waved the two girls to go away and they left. It was the day of `Id when negroes used to play with leather shields and spears. .
